One of the keys to successful marketing is making it as easy as possible for interested parties to get in contact with you, and Johns Hopkins University’s tech transfer office has taken that to heart. The TTO just released a free app, developed by faculty and staff, that enables users of iPhone, iPad, and Motorola Droid to instantly access the office and its available technologies.

The app is believed to be the first to link users to a university TTO. “We try and find homes for technology,” says Wes Blakeslee, executive director of the Hopkins TTO. “With this new app, users have quick access to what is happening at Hopkins’ tech transfer office in real time. With one touch, venture capitalists and interested licensors can connect with JHTT and learn about investment opportunities, faculty can share their latest innovations, and students can see how their research can have real-world applications.”

The new app got its official debut May 3 at the Bio International Convention. It can be downloaded from Apple’s App Store or from iTunes.
